There have been many things that have been canceled due to the coronavirus but Ramadan is not one of them. Ramadan is on April 24th, 2020. I am so happy that I can do something to distract myself during quarantine and get closer to God while fasting. If you don't know what Ramadan is… it is a thing all Muslims should die because it's part of the religion, you’re supposed to fast all day until the sunrises and throughout the day you’re supposed to be praying to get closer to Allah (God) and your family. I’ve been participating in Ramadan since I was 7 years old, that is also the time I learned how to pray. I feel joy in doing things like this because it makes me feel like a good person inside and out. I’ve always enjoyed Ramadan and have never been upset to do it. It, of course, gets tiring and your energy will eventually run out throughout the day but it's all worth it when you can finally eat the feast you have prepared that whole day to eat with your family. I recommend people trying Ramdan not for the religious purpose of it ( but of course you can), but for the feeling of it and to get a perspective of how/what people go through every day.
